Time Lapse
Time Lapse was inspired by Eliot Elisonfon's photography 'Marcel Duchamp descends staircase' (1952). Depicting movement was a key preoccupation for many artists in the early 20th century, particularly the Futurists. Futurism emphasized the dynamism, vitality and restlessness of modern life. A number of novel techniques were developed to express speed and motion including blurring and repetition. Duchamps also suggested that movement that transcends the purely physical to include the emotional and social.
